Comparison of Final and Draft proposed drilling plans for HD Mountains.

The Final drilling plan places the green zones labeled 1-4 in the middle of the HD Mountains Roadless Area off limits to CBM wells and roads. There is no change from Draft to Final plans for drilling along the outcrop zone on the fringe of the HD Mts. Circles and triangles represent well pad locations, red lines are proposed roads.

Existing wells in the wider San Juan Basin region

The San Juan Basin is one of the most intensively-drilled areas in Colorado and New Mexico, with over 40,000 total wells, 18,000 of which are currently producing. The HD Mountains are one of the last undrilled areas left in the San Juan Basin, and may be seen in the upper right-hand corner of the map.
